ITV is reportedly planning another five years of I’m a Celebrity…get me out of here!

It is understood that bosses are in talks with Australian authorities about the prospect of securing the unused plantation where the show is filmed until 2030.

All going well, it will take another five years for the long-running ITV show to enter its 30th season.

A source told The Sun : “The production team is planning five years in advance, which is a long-term approach they haven’t adapted before.

“But it’s not a done deal with local authorities and negotiations have only just begun to provide vision.”

“They are not taking anything for granted, but are hoping that all parties involved can reach some kind of agreement.”

Previously, only The Year deals have been filmed to secure the Murwillumbah site – where I’m a celebrity.

If the show hopes to stay there until 2030, they will need the blessing of the local Tweed Shire Council.

A council spokesman confirmed that ITV would have to seek permission to film on the site again and they do not issue “open-ended filming permits” to anyone.

The Daily Mail has contacted ITV for comment.

Jimmy Bullard is reportedly the latest famous face to star in the upcoming All Stars version of the series.

The 46-year-old former footballer is said to be returning to the jungle with several other former I’m a Celebrity contestants from previous years.

The ex-Soccer AM host will be hoping to do better than his initial stint in 2014, when he was the first member of the camp to be voted out.

All things considered, another five years will pass for the long-running ITV show until its 30th season is underway.

A source told The Sun on Sunday : “Jimmy had a brilliant time on the original series he was on and it really opened the door to his broadcasting career.

“He was voted in for the first time last time and he felt he had a lot more to give. Now he has a chance to get stuck in again, even though he’s a bit older, so he’s worried he might find it harder to make it.”

“His teasing is still at its peak. Producers are hoping he’ll have a bromance with Harry Redknapp, who is also in the cast.”

As well as Jimmy and 2018 Jungle King Harry Redknapp, the only other contestants to feature are Essex star Gemma Collins, who only lasted three days in the jungle when she also took part in the 2014 edition of the programme – and 2016 third-placed Adam Thomas.

Adam memorably participated in a record 12 Bushtucker Trials during his time in the Australian jungle and returned to present the companion series I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp with Joel Dommett and Emily Attac in 2019.

A source told The Sun: “This will be a glorious return for Adam as he established himself as a real fan favourite through his series in Camp and then the Spin-off show.

‘He has also remained in the spotlight with Waterloo Road and then on ITV alongside brother Ryan with the challenge show 99.

“It’s the perfect time for him to return to the jungle and assert his position as Mr. Bushtucker.”

Rumoured to be taking part in this year’s All Star series is Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, who won I’m a Celebrity in 2016.

She reportedly wants to participate now that she’s a mom to show her young son how brave she can be.

ANT and DEC’s return as hosts was confirmed in February, with filming set to take place in South Africa later this year.

Unlike the main series, participants do not compete to be the king or queen of the jungle, but instead they will simply be crowned a “legend.”

The first Legends series aired in 2023 and saw the return of former campmates Myleene Klass, Helen Flanagan, and Jordan Banjo.

A source said: “It was one of the biggest entertainment shows of the year, averaging 5.2 million views on a weeknight in a row.

“We are very excited to be reclaiming the campsites from a brand new environment in South Africa over the next several years.”
