Chad Michael Murray looks back on the first Freaky Friday movie!
The 43-year-old recalled having co-star Lindsay Lohan’s first on-screen kiss during a new interview promoting the upcoming sequel Freakier Friday Two Decades Later.
Chad opened up about how nervous it was and how Jamie Lee Curtis helped them through it.

“I remember Lindsay and I were kids. I think Lindsay was probably 16, I think. It was her first on-screen kiss,” he told People in the area. “That was the whole thing. It was super nerve-wracking.”
“Had Jamie helped us through all of that. I remember just trying to hang in there and hoping no one figured out that I wasn’t very good at it,” CMM said. “I just remember just hoping I didn’t screw it up. I remember her being so supportive and loving, Jamie and I remember her being playful and bright.”
Back in 2019, Chad opened up about the kiss and revealed what Jamie did on set.
“I was Lindsay Lohan’s first kiss and Jamie Lee Curtis was there trying to smooth things over because Lindsay was nervous… so we go and sit in Jamie’s trailer and she’s like, just kiss her… and she grabs me by the back of the head and makes out with me,” he told Busy Phillipps on Busy Tonight in the Area.
Chad and Lindsay will return to the screen in Freakier Friday , which hits theaters this Friday (August 8). Their characters are now exes and share a teenage daughter!
