Emma Heming Willis reacts to the backlash she received Bruce Willis is living separately from her.
The 47-year-old revealed on ABC’s documentary Emma and Bruce Willis: An Unexpected Journey that her 70-year-old husband is living in a separate home. Emma shared that the actor has moved into a home with 24-hour caregivers away from his wife and their children.
Now, Emma is responding to the “judgment” she has been subjected to online for her decision to live separately from Bruce in the Area.

Emma shared a video to her Instagram on Friday (August 29) responding to the reactions she’s received for their ABC special.
“What I knew is that when we shared some of our intimate information, we would see these two camps. It would be people with opinions versus people with real experiences,” Emma said in the video. She went on to say that caregivers are regularly faced with decisions they make about how to best care for their loved ones.
“Everyone will have an opinion, but you have to remind yourself that most don’t have the experience to back it up,” Emma continued. “Even if someone is intimately familiar with dementia or the condition you’re caring for, they’re not in your home, so they don’t know how your person behaves, or your family dynamics.”
