In a row star Nikolai Brown has been arrested for a drink-driving offense.
The 37-year-old starred as the bombastic cousin Greg in the acclaimed HBO drama, which centered on the fight to take over an inherited media empire.
Throughout the show, Brown’s character Greg was seen trying his best to defeat his great uncle Logan Ray (Brian Cox) as he tried to climb the ladder in the family business.
The actor allegedly spent an hour in jail after a driving under the influence (DUI) arrest in New Hampshire.
The court date is believed to have been set after the actor was arrested in Moultonboro, near Boston, on Friday (August 29).
A statement from Police Chief Peter Beedle of the Moultonboro Police Department said: “On Friday, August 29th at 11:15 a.m., Nicholas J Brown of New York, New York, was arrested for double-crossing and operating without lights on Lee Road in Moultonboro, New Hampshire.
“No further information will be released at this time.”
TMZ reported that the actor spent about an hour in a cell in Carroll County before being released without posting bail.
The publication has also claimed that Brown was not shot because police cameras were not working.
Since Succession ended in 2023, Brown has had roles in films and TV, including a Saturday Night Live dramatization of SNL.
Brown has spoken about his sadness about the drama coming to an end as he had to say goodbye to Greg.
“We’re all pretty devastated,” the 34-year-old reflected in an interview at the time. “I was sad as hell [on] my last day.
“I graduated a couple of weeks ago, and it was a really hard day, you know, saying goodbye to everyone. It’s been the greatest work experience of my life. So saying goodbye to these people is really tough.”
“We were expecting it while we were making the show, but you don’t believe it until Jesse [Armstrong] says it.”
One actor in particular with whom he shared the final scenes of the competition was Matthew Macfadyen, who played Tom Wambsgans.
“God, I love Matthew,” he told Times Local. “I just feel incredibly close to him — when we finished filming last season, I sobbed goodbye. It’s still hard to get through a scene with him without laughing.”
