The Layoffs actor Britt Lower came out on top in her category at the Emmys on Sunday night, but you may have missed the most important part of her win.
When Britt took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, most viewers were focused on her speech, in which she thanked her fellow cast members and family for their support.
“First of all, it’s a privilege to even be mentioned alongside such an incredible group of artists,” she told Local. “I share this award with my heroic cast and crew, whose work catalyzes mine.”
Britt continued, “Thank you to my mom and my dad, my brother, my husband, our children, our fellow human beings, our chosen family. I love you so much. Thank you for this and thank you for choosing me.”
Aside from the outpouring of love, eagle-eyed Spiral fans also noticed a hidden detail on the back of her acceptance speech notes.
It was a message in all caps — ostensibly from Britt’s “Innie” character, Helly R. — that simply read: “Let me out.”

Despite the fan love, one thing is clear: Helly R. “Outie” — Lumon’s own Helen Eagan — won’t be too happy about it.
