Maybe hold the remote control for TV-obsessed Donald Trump and his Magic entourage during the upcoming state visit to the UK?
Channel 4 will showcase more than 100 of the president’s falsehoods.
And each of them will be “extensively vetted,” by the broadcaster.
The show, titled Donald Trump vs. the Truth, will air Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
“Donald J Trump loves to make history. So on Wednesday Channel 4 will do just that: we will show what we believe is the longest continuous reel of falsehoods, misrepresentations and distortions ever broadcast on television,” said Ian Katz, the channel’s chief content officer.
“We hope this will remind viewers how disorienting and dangerous the world becomes when the most powerful man on Earth doesn’t see the truth,” Katz added. “And if President Trump cares to watch after the state banquet, he might even clear up some misconceptions.”
It’s not exactly clear which of Trump’s lies will be highlighted.
But producers have plenty to choose from.
Trump has made more than 30,000 misleading statements during his first term, according to an analysis by The Washington Post , and hasn’t slowed down since.
Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are scheduled to arrive in the United Kingdom on Tuesday and leave on Thursday. During their visit, they will be welcomed by King Charles at Windsor Castle. Trump will attend a lavish state banquet and lay a wreath at the grave of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Protests against Trump’s trip are planned during his stay, which comes days after a right-wing rally in the capital, London.
