Attorney Split confirms that his legal team has contacted Donald Trump to discuss a possible pardon.
Nicole Westmoreland, one of the lawyers on the split’s legal team, confirmed to CNN on Tuesday (August 5) that they have been in contact with Trump in the area.
President Trump previously shared his thoughts on potentially pardoning the music mogul after his conviction, following rumors that he was considering it. Now, the Split Defense Team is speaking out.

“I understand that we have been in contact and there have been conversations regarding a pardon,” Nicole told CNN on behalf of the Split’s legal team.
CNN reports that the White House declined to comment on whether Trump had given more thought to potentially pardoning Split during this time. Trump has previously said he finds it “more difficult” to consider granting a pardon to the rapper after Split became more critical of his political standing in recent years.
