Fans were excited to see the trio on screen. However, delays and speculations over the years about the film’s future have left everyone guessing.

The film was meant to be a celebration of friendship, adventure and Bollywood glamour. Right from the start, the combination of these three powerhouse actors created a huge buzz among the audience. But reports soon suggested that bringing all the stars together for a shoot was easier said than done.
Alia Bhatt explained the reasons for the long delay
Back in October 2024, Alia Bhatt spoke to Lallantop about the film. She said, “We have not planned to shoot. Definitely, hogi! (It will happen for sure). It is a film where everyone, Jo Bhi main players Hain USS Film Mein (the main players of the film), actors, producers, director, everyone wants this film to happen.” Alia also revealed why the progress has been slow, “Logistically, kaafi difficult ho raha tha to combine all the dates, but I think Agar Sabke Zehan Mein Hai Aur hand Mein Hain Toh Woh Film Ban Jayegi (it is difficult to get the dates of the main players, but everyone is in the mind that the film has to be done)”
Farhan Akhtar’s confirmed film is far from cancelled
Recently, Farhan Akhtar addressed questions about the film on his YouTube channel, Our Stupid Reactions. He said, “I hate to say it’s on the shelf. I’ll say it’s on the back burner. It’s a film that’s going to happen. I don’t know when it’s going to happen. But it’s too delicious as a script.” Akhtar added that a lot of work has already been done. He mentioned that he has completed all the scouting and recorded the music, and that most of the preparations have already been done. According to him, it was only a matter of time before they could resume work, and while he could not comment further on the cast, he assured that the film would definitely happen.
