Alix Earle put on a daring display as she walked the red carpet at the star-studded MTV Video Music Awards in New York on Sunday evening.

The 24-year-old TikTok star, who is presenting at the awards show, modeled a mock-neck minidress that appeared conservative from the front but flashed major sideboob when she turned to the side.

Her Tom Ford dress featured an ultra-short hemline to showcase her long, toned legs in black, stiletto slingback heels.

There were also dramatic openings to showcase the sides of her body as she went braless underneath the chic dress.

Earle — who previously opened up about her breast augmentation while celebrating her one-year ‘boob-aversary’ — was roasted by fans over her VMAs look, which several compared to a ‘pillowcase’ or ‘napkin.’

Her attendance at the star-studded affair comes as the influencer is currently preparing to make her Dancing with the Stars debut — after a haunting family sex secret was revealed by insiders.

She attended the awards ceremony with her younger sister Ashtin Earle as her plus-one.

Her sister wore a camel brown, leather dress with lace-up details as well as an asymmetrical neckline and hemline for an interesting look.

She paired the unique dress with metallic gold sandal heels and styled her dark brunette hair in the same beach waves as her sister.

On the same day, the social media sensation also took to Instagram to share a video of herself lying down to avoid wrinkling her dress while on the way to the awards ceremony with her sister and her team.

In response to her look as well as her post, she received a flurry of comments as fans shared their mixed reactions to her look.

Several gushed over her, praising her for her glamorous figure and her ‘stunning’ minidress.

Others compared the garment to a ‘napkin’ or a ‘pillowcase’ as they criticized the style of the dress.

Many people shared their dislike for her outfit as they compared the dress to household commonplace objects.

One person asked on X, formerly Twitter, about her look: ‘What the f*** is she wearing?’

Another person shared a similar tweet as they wrote: ‘What in gods name is she wearing?’

One X user added: ‘Lol..this is a dress too?’

And there were also trolls that compared her minidress to ‘a white garbage bag.’

Many fans also took to the comments section of her Instagram post.

Some said she looked ‘gorgeous’ and ‘iconic’ while others said her look was ‘pillowcase af!’

A few of her followers also shared funny quips about her dress as well as the way she was being transported to the awards ceremony — lying down horizontally in the middle of a sprinter van.

Another Instagram user hilariously commented: ‘Do not crinkle the napkin!!!!’

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are being held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.

No doubt all eyes will be on Lady Gaga as she is making her long-awaited return to the award show after a five-year absence.

The 39-year-old music superstar is up for the most awards of the night as she was nominated for 12 including top honor Video Of The Year for her duet with Bruno Mars titled Dying With A Smile.

Gaga already has 18 VMA wins under her belt and her fans are anticipating her to add even more accolades this year.

This year also marks the third time that Gaga led MTV’s list of VMA nominees.

She previously topped the list with 13 nods in 2010 and again in 2020 tying for first with nine total nominations.

The Bad Romance hitmaker is followed by her collaborator Bruno Mars who has 11 nominations and Kendrick Lamar has the third most nominations with ten.

Taylor Swift did not release a single or album in the last year so she is only up for one award in the Artist Of The Year category.

Last week, Gaga — born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — announced that she would also be returning to the stage for a performance.

She will be joining the highly anticipated lineup including Doja Cat, Mariah Carey, Jelly Roll, Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone, Tate McRae and J Balvin among many more.

Rapper and actor LL Cool J is host of the event which will air for the first time on major network CBS as it will also stream on the premium tier of Paramount+ and simulcast on MTV.
