Avengers: Doomsday is one of the most anticipated Marvel movies, and fans are excited that the film is hitting theaters soon. While the film is currently in production with the cast and crew filming in London, the directors dropped the first teaser at the Destination D23 event. Along with the preview, the Russo brothers also released a behind-the-scenes video from the sets of the upcoming film.
The filmmakers appeared at the event via a video message and dropped hints about the superheroes facing their greatest threat. It was previously revealed that the Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, and X-Men will join the original Avengers to battle the evil Dr. Doom.
What can fans expect from the The Avengers: Doomsday teaser?
At the D23 event, the Russo brothers dropped a message for Marvel fans ahead of the big release of Avengers: Endgame. They said, “Hi D23 folks, this is Joe and Anthony Russo, we’re currently in London shooting Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame.”
They also added, “This movie is big for us, to say the least. It’s bigger than anything we’ve ever done. We’re bringing together so many of your favorite characters to face one of the biggest threats in the MCU.”
Speaking of the teaser, it was a montage that started with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor saying, “We could put together the greatest team ever.” Elsewhere, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson recites his lines from Captain America: Brave New World .
He says, “If we can’t see the good in each other, we’ve already lost the fight.” Shuri from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also appears, as she mentions, “Now is our time to strike.” Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man next takes the screen and says, “Will I be there when the Avengers need me? Absolutely.”
Additionally, Thunderbolts’ Yelena and Fantastic Four’s Mr. Reed Richards also appear on the screens.
Avengers: Doomsday will mark the return of Robert Downey Jr., who will portray the villainous Dr. Victor Von Doom. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in December 2026.
