Bancrolled by Sun Pictures, Coolie: The Powerhouse had an extended opening weekend of Rs 18.50 crore. It lost momentum further and could end its first week at around Rs 23 crore nett in 8 days. The film saw a boost in its second weekend, adding around Rs 4.10 crore. This takes its 11-day cummi to Rs 27.10 crore nett in Hindi.
Estimates suggest that Coolie minted another Rs 60 lakh on its 2nd Monday, taking the total cume to close to Rs 28 crore. The Rajinikanth film is expected to cross the Rs 30 crore mark in a couple of days. It may not be able to cross that. It is expected to cross Leo’s lifetime Hindi cume by the end of its theatrical run.
