Jake Gyllenhaal is hard at work on his new movie.
The 44-year-old Oscar-nominated actor and co-star Ashley Walters filmed scenes together for their new M. Night Shyamalan supernatural romantic thriller The Remains on Tuesday afternoon (August 5) in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The two actors were filming at what appeared to be an outdoor music festival.
The upcoming film is a story co-created by M. Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks , who are writing the film and accompanying novel, respectively, based on the same original love story.
Both the film and the novel will be based on the story’s concept and characters, but will be adapted for their respective platforms. Plot details are being kept under wraps for now.
Stay is scheduled to hit theaters on October 23, 2026. The Bridgerton actress will also star in the film!
