Gorka Marquez has hailed Dianne Buswell’s pregnancy announcement as “the best news” as Strictly Come Dancing stars turned out in force to show their support.
The professional dancer, who is himself a father of two, was among those who took to social media to congratulate Dianna and her boyfriend Joe Sugg on their news.
Fans will be aware that the pair met Strictly in 2018 when they were paired up to compete in the competition, where they made it to the finals and finished behind eventual winners Stacey Doyle and Kevin Clifton, who also became an item after the show.
With days to go until the new episode of the hit dance show airs, Dianne and Joe confirmed their pregnancy joy in a brilliant social media video.
They took to Instagram with a playful clip in which they could be seen standing behind a wooden easel in their Brighton home, holding paints and painting brushes, and the clip was set to Elton John’s track Tiny Dancer.
The video then sees the couple painting before they turn the canvas over to reveal three stick figures – one of Dianna, one of Joe, and a child in the middle.
Alongside the post, which was originally shared by Joe and Dianne, which was reposted, the dad-to-be wrote: “Our little baby boy [heart emoji] is in the area. We can’t wait to meet you.”

Gorka was quick to react to the news, writing: “Oh this is the best news!!! Big congratulations to you both,” while his fiancée Gemma Atkinson, with whom he shares children Mia and Thiago, echoed: “The best news! Congratulations.”
He also shared a video of the announcement to his Instagram story and commented, “The best news!!! So happy for you both.” This was echoed by Janette Manrara, who, because it takes two hosts, took over the clip herself and said, “The best news!!!!!”
Michelle Tsiakkas also posted the clip to her Instagram story and gushed, “She’s gona be a mommy! Congratulations @diannebuswell @:Joe_sugg. This news made my heart so happy! You’re going to be the most amazing parent! Can’t wait to be an aunt to your baby.”
Amy Dowden also wanted to share her excitement for Dianna, who was a bridesmaid on her wedding day, as she commented on her and Joe’s announcement: “Still screaming, dancing and celebrating!
Meanwhile, Strictly host Claudia Winkleman wanted to support Dianne with all her needs as she prepares to compete on the hit dance show this year, as she added: “So so happy for you – amazing news. I’ll get you any snack you need.”
