Exclusive: Israeli studio Sipur has formalized its relationship with Emmy-winning We Shall Overcome director Yariv Mozer.

The pair have snagged an exclusive first look at all of Moser’s new projects and developments.

They have worked together on several shows, including, most notably, We Will Dance Again, an October 7 documentary about the tragedy at the Nova Music Festival. A 2024 co-production between Sipur and actual producer Bitachon 365 in association with MGM Television, it has appeared on Paramount+ in the US, BBC Storyville in the UK, RTL in Germany and Israel’s Hot 8.

Moser also directed the documentary Ben-Gurion, Epilogue (2017) and received critical acclaim for The Devil’s Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes (2022), which Sipur co-produced with Kan11 and MGM Television. For example, We Will Dance Again both won Israeli Academy Awards.

Sipur boss Emilio Schenker said the move “strengthens a long-standing partnership” between Sipur and Moser.

“Yariv’s talent, sensitivity, heart and unwavering commitment to telling the truth – no matter how difficult – is what makes him such a remarkable filmmaker,” he added. “One needs to look no further than his riveting, Emmy Award-winning documentary We Shall Dance Again, honoring the victims and survivors of October 7th, to understand what an incredible director he is. This film is a truly groundbreaking work.”

Moser called Sipuru “the home where I have found the freedom and support to tell meaningful stories.”

We Will Dance Again won the recent International Emmy for Best Current Affairs Documentary, and Schenker dedicated the award to the late Sipur president Michael Peter Schmidt. Schenker recently spoke with us about Sipur’s international plans and the detailed projects the Bad Boys studio has on board, including Hagai Levi’s series Etty.

Moser, whose deal with Sipur was negotiated by his agent Niv Eshet Cohen, is a board member of the Israel Film and Television Academy, as well as a graduate of Tel Aviv University, where he now teaches.
