The Love Island star proved to be a hit with viewers after her debut on the talk show
Olivia Attwood has said ITV “can’t get rid of” her as she opened up about the “blowing” This Morning job.
The former Love Island star made her debut on the ITV breakfast programme last month as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard enjoyed some time away from their duties.
Presenting alongside Dermot O’Leary, Olivia was one of a number of temporary hosts brought in to fill in for Cat and Ben during their break.
During the debut episode, Olivia made light of the fact that she was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [ADHD] as an adult during an AA group discussion about an employment tribunal decision that employers must provide “reasonable accommodations,” such as ADHD training, to employees.
“It presents challenges, in the creative industry that we’re in, I find it’s a huge tool. I have some things I need to move forward with and things I need to do to make myself employable and nice to work with,” she said.
“It makes sense to me, but I feel a little bit against employers. It’s hard to sort out. We have personal responsibilities to manage our own struggles.”
“It’s a halfway house that needs to be satisfied. It presents itself differently for different people, and for men and women.”
Olivia added, “If you see me over there playing with an apple, just don’t ask me questions. That’s my ADHD.”
The 34-year-old has now admitted that she has been “hunkering down” for work since appearing on the ITV2 dating show in 2017.
Olivia told The Sun: “When I arrived this morning I thought, ‘What planet?’ It’s taken it to another level.
“But I’ve been hooked since I got out of this villa. They can’t get rid of me.”
Meanwhile, Olivia is also currently the face of a new ITV documentary series, Getting Filthy Rich, game show Bad Friends and is a regular on panel show Loose Women.
According to Olivia, she is so busy with her work that it has started to take a toll on her relationship with her football player husband, Bradley Duck.
She explained: “For ages, I was the one who carried us on my back for a long time. In his early days, he was doing his football and was always out. And I was like, ‘Urgh.'”
“And now I’m the one who’s filming seven days a week and I’m in a mood. I come in, I’m mean. He says, ‘You save all your nice personality for work and then you come in like [growling], ‘Where’s my dinner?'”
If Olivia didn’t already have enough on her plate, she’ll be hot next year. The new reality series follows 10 ambitious young chefs who head to Barcelona, Spain, to work for multi-Michelin-starred restaurateur Jean-Christophe Novelli, who is opening a lavish summer restaurant in the gorgeous Port Vell Marina.
“It’s such an honour to host this brand new ITV2 and ITVX format, being at the helm of something this fresh and exciting,” she teased.
