Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor on the screen, is finally hitting the theaters. The Tushar Jalota-directed romantic comedy-drama opened on a good note after registering decent advance bookings. For the record, the film hit the theaters after selling 34,000 tickets across the top three national chains – PVR Inox and Cinepolis on its opening day.
Estimates suggest that the film has opened on the expected lines, thanks to its exciting promotional assets, especially the tophbuster song Pardesiya, which instantly went viral. According to estimates, Param Sundari has registered an opening of close to Rs 6.50 crore to 7 crore nett at the Indian box office.
Param Sundari takes a good opening, aims for a rousing weekend
The film has opened with a mixed positive word of mouth which should help it further. Maddock Films’ Param Sundari, which was released in a bankroll, should see a significant growth over the weekend. If it manages to register the expected hike on Saturday and Sunday, it will be considered a good weekend performer. Looking at the current trends, the Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor starrer should make at least Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore in its opening weekend.
Since the film doesn’t have much competition at the moment, Param Sundari has a great chance of gaining most of the traction and sailing on a favorable theatrical run. It will be interesting to see how the film fares in the coming days.
