Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco seem set to tie the knot within weeks, especially after Gomez was spotted letting loose in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a rumored grandma’s party last month.
For the sunny getaway, Gomez, 33, was joined on the yacht by longtime friends, including country star Ashley Cook, producer Raquelle Stevens and actress Courtney Lopez – although her best friend Taylor Swift was notably missing.
Swift soon after announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce.
Back from Cabo, Gomez is said to be in full planning mode, preparing to marry music producer Blanco, 37, who celebrated her bachelorette party at a Las Vegas spa with a network of friends.
But as the big day approaches, an insider tells the Daily Mail that Gomez is likely doing a lot of prepping solo…

Gomez and her husband-to-be Benny Blanco announced their engagement in December 2024 after a year and a half of dating.
Blanco has told his bride that “this is her wedding first and their wedding second,” according to our inside source.
Blanco is “ecstatic that she will be his bride at the end of this day,” the insider added. But while he is “eternally grateful” that Gomez is marrying him, “he has told her that he wants her to make most of the decisions.”
That has meant the planning process “wasn’t smooth sailing at first,” in part because of the couple’s shared tendency to procrastinate. But with Blanco in particular, some friends have accused him of being “a little lazy.”
It might seem like a “nice gesture” that Gomez is able to “do whatever she wants at the wedding,” but it has led to some disagreements, our insider said, as the singer feels “[Blanco] could step up and make some decisions.”
Their relationship isn’t struggling, but their inner circle knows very well that the dynamic ” won’t change in the years to come, and could become one of the quirks in their marriage.”
Despite any problems, an insider confirmed that it’s now “smooth sailing as everything has been paid for and figured out.”

Gomez and Blanco confirmed their relationship in December 2023, when they surprised fans by revealing that they had already been dating for six months.
A separate source previously revealed to the Daily Mail that the couple were slowly planning their marriage after Blanco admitted they had “ both worked so hard”.
The same source said the couple is planning a two-day event in Montecito, California.
Using the September date implies that close friends and family are invited.
We can expect to see Gomez’s cast from her hit Hulu show Only Murders in the Building, which includes model Cara Delevingne, Martin Short, and Steve Martin, the source said.
Gomez and Blanco began dating in the summer of 2023.
The following December, Blanco popped the question with a giant diamond engagement ring valued at $1 million.
