Stephen Colbert is open to the job, but has some major stipulations for his next gig… saying as much after his big Emmys win.We caught up with the late-night host outside the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night, where we asked if her on-stage call for work had inspired all the job offers in the room. While Colbert cheekily avoided confirming or denying his follow-up show plans, he did ask if TMZ had been hired… and our photo made it clear that we’d be happy to have him.Catch the vid… Colbert doesn’t directly dismiss the work, instead getting excited about the idea before asking if we’re in the Union – he’s an active member of the Writers Guild of America. As Colbert put it, his next role may just be union work, and that’s why you won’t be seeing SC appear on “TMZ Live” anytime soon.Remember, “The Late Show” was set to end next May after CBS and its parent company Paramount Global pulled the plug on the program, citing financial reasons. However, the decision came on Colbert’s tail, who criticized Paramount for settling Donald Trump’s “60 Minutes” lawsuit.Since then, many in Hollywood have expressed their support for Colbert … with the comedian even picking up the Outstanding Talk Series award last night.

During his acceptance speech, he asked the room to hire his 200 “incredible” employees, as they would be free to work in a few months. He also received a standing ovation from the audience.Earlier in the evening, Colbert also poked fun at his impending unemployment status, bringing his headshot and resume to the stage with him… joking that an old photo of him could still book him a job.We have a feeling Colbert will be just fine!!!
