Katie Jones has been told it’s “getting better and better” as she was shown support from one of her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars when she was tipped to have a celebrity partner again this year.
The professional dancer has been a fan favorite on the BBC One dance show since 2016, winning the show in its second series with Holby City’s Joe McFadden.
And she is set to return to the famous ballroom this year after the BBC confirmed her Pro line-up for the 2025 series in April. She will be joined on the next show by Amy Dowden, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Nikita Kuzmin, Neil Jones, Gorka Marquez and Luba Mushtuk.
Dianne Buswell, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Michelle Tsiakkas, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Vito Coppola will also take to the ball.
But that wasn’t actually the full line-up, as when the initial announcement was made, it was also revealed that two brand new professional dancers would be making their debuts when the BBC One Dance competition returns this autumn.
Since then, newcomers have been discovered, including You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr and Australian Dancing with the Stars star Julianne Kylon.
They have since been preparing for the new series, rehearsing and pre-recording group numbers set throughout Strictly’s 23rd series, while they have also mingled with the 15 celebrities who took part in the competition this year when it returns on September 20.

Before that, Katya has been reflecting on the past month (August) before the sparks truly take over this fall and through winter. She took to Instagram with a series of snaps that included her enjoying Padel, being strict in the ballroom, and hanging out at OU with friends.
Alongside the post, the star wrote: “Apparently it’s the last day of August. It’s been pretty gloomy. And it’s going to get better soon…”
Strictly co-star Carlos, who also appeared in a series of pictures and videos, was quick to comment as he said: “It gets better and better! Enjoy life my girl.” Meanwhile, Karen commented: “Love [heart emoji].
And fans were quick to respond too. @rhiannon_dv said: “Looks like you had the best time!! I can’t wait for your brunch and to get started, I’m so excited!!!”
