Strictly Come Dancing’s Thomas Skinner has told Amy Dowden “not to panic” as he gave a training update.
Former Apprentice star Thomas and professional dancer Amy are currently preparing for the BBC series’ first live show on Saturday night (September 27).
Much has been made of Thomas being paired with fan favorite Amy as he has been in the headlines in preparation for the program’s 23rd season.
Sharing the group’s dance during the opening show, the judges will critique the duo for the first time in several days.
After promising that he would “not be canceled” over the weekend, Thomas continued to bring fans into his and Amy’s training sessions on social media.
Earlier Wednesday, he shared a selfie from the gym on his Instagram story, reflecting on how he has found his rigorous journey.
“Happy Wednesday, you lovely people! Halfway through the week! And I started my morning at the gym with a little workout before I started dancing hard with Amy today!

“Listen, life is full of noise. People will doubt you, try to pull you down, try to tell you what you can’t do. But you have to rise above it. Keep your eyes on the road, keep pushing, keep grafting, and don’t let the chatter knock you off course.
“Today is another chance to stand up, push hard, and achieve something. Love the people around you, lift them up, and never forget that the strongest people aren’t the ones who scream the loudest, they’re the ones who keep pushing forward when things get tough. So push harder. Be prouder,” he wrote.
Thomas added, “Stand taller. And remember, you’re not just getting through the week … you’re building your future. Let’s visit this Wednesday, together. Bosh.”
Later in the afternoon, Thomas shared a video of him and Amy answering questions before the first live broadcast.
Thomas stated that he was “full of energy” before the camera cut to Amy jokingly saying that he was “wearing her” and they “have a lot to do.”
When Thomas adds that they’re going to “break it,” the camera cuts back to Amy, who says she’s “never been so nervous.”
