Joan Vasos calmed the internet’s concerns about why fiance Chock Chapple isn’t with her during her European vacation.

“Hey everyone! I’ve been doing some really fun news because I’m on a cruise in the Mediterranean with my friend Nancy,” the 62-year-old Bachelorette said in an Instagram video on Wednesday, Aug. 6. “We’re sitting in the lounge right now waiting to get drinks and I was reading some of the comments and it seems like a lot of you are worried that Chock isn’t here.”

She continued, “I just want to make sure everyone knows that Chock isn’t here because he had missed a trip with his son. He bought him a nice trip for graduation, so he was on it.”

Vassos added that she was “lucky” to have Nancy by her side for the repose, as Chapple, 61, was “unavailable” at the time due to his prior arrangement.

“It’s not because I’m not together. We are. I really miss him and I can’t wait to see him,” she confessed. “In about 10 days, we’ll be together. We already have that flight booked and we’re ready to be together.”

Vassos reiterated that she and Chapple are doing “great.”

“I miss him and I love him and we’re still together,” she said. “So thank you for your concern, I really appreciate it.”

Chapple, for his part, took to the comments section to offer more details about his adventure with his son Tyler.

“Girls’ trip- I support this 1000%!!!” He replied. “My son Tyler and I had a blast in Africa. We had this trip planned for 4 years and last year we were delayed due to CoVid and his college graduation.”

Chapple added that planning the trip was more difficult than expected due to his and Tyler’s busy schedules, as his son got a job “right after school” and he filmed The Golden Bachelorette last year.

“Scheduling was a bit of a challenge on Joan’s show last year and some commitments on my end. Have fun ladies and see you next week- love YA,” he concluded.

Vassos and Chapple met and fell in love on the inaugural season of Bachelorette Party. The couple got engaged during the finale, which aired in November 2024.

Earlier this year, Vassos opened up exclusively to US Weekly about her life with Chapple post-show and why they’re in no rush to walk down the aisle.

“Chok and I are in that part. It’s been great every second of it, and it’s probably made our relationship stronger and made it take a leap of faith to feel like we absolutely did the right thing. We’re going to get married, but we’re not ready to plan a wedding,” she told Us in April. “I’m meeting his friends, he’s meeting my friends. We’re taking our time to get to know each other more. There’s no rush. I don’t have a biological clock. I’m over it. I have four kids. It’s going to [add] to the whole element of it. We’re not dying to build a house together. We both have homes. We have all these things that we don’t bother doing. We just have fun being together. I want to be like, ‘Let’s be together! Let’s just have fun and date!’ We’re going to get married, I just don’t know when.”
