According to BMRCL, the transport operation started at 11.01 am and concluded at 11.21 am, covering seven stations in just 20 minutes. BMRCL said the heart was transported in train ID 12, train set 29, accompanied by a medical team from the hospital. To ensure smooth movement, the Assistant Security Officer, who coordinated with the Sparsh team and metro security personnel, took special measures to avoid delays and ensure a safe corridor for the critical transfer.

In August, Namma Metro had successfully facilitated the transportation of organs for the first time. A donated human liver for transplantation was transported from Vydehi Hospital in Whitefield to Sparsh Hospital in RR Nagar. The surgery was carried out using a combination of ambulance and metro, significantly reducing the travel time during peak hours.
