Hong Kong Disneyland first opened 20 years ago, and to celebrate, the company showed off a concept for what’s to come in the future.
The concept art below shows the attraction based on Marvel and Pixar. For superheroes, one art features the Avengers headquarters, while the other shows Spider-Man with Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Thor in Asgard around a pod of parkgoers falling down the Bifrost Bridge. This concept art and a previously released art show Spidey holding the pod while battling Doctor Octopus near a portal — the biggest ride with a drop in the vein of “Mission: Impossible.” Disney hasn’t given the ride an official title, but has teased that it will “team up with the Avengers for an unexpected adventure!”
This will be Marvel’s third addition to Hong Kong’s Stark Expo Tomorrowland, and was first announced in 2024. It’s currently unclear whether this attraction will still focus on Spider-Man with a few guest stars or if it’s fully transformed into an Avengers attraction, including a wall-crawler.
Meanwhile, Pixar art shows Mike, Sully, and other Monsters Inc. employees moving doors in front of the crowd, with boos hanging in the background. Like the Marvel attraction, it doesn’t have an official name or what it means; the description promises that other Pixar characters will take part in “an all-new immersive theatrical experience that celebrates the joy of friendship and the power of play.”
There’s also no release window yet, but we’ll have more on what’s coming to Disneyland Hong Kong as information emerges.
