The Civil War star was recently asked by Entertainment Tonight if she was ever surprised by her role as Torrance Shipman, the perky teenage cheerleader who introduced the world to the concept of cheerleading and the ocean and flirty toothbrush in the beloved 2000 teen comedy.
Although the film spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs, Kirsten only ever appeared in the original.
“I’m like, leave the good stuff where it is,” Kirsten argued. “I don’t have to put on a cheerleader outfit. I don’t even know what I would do [in a sequel] — Be a coach or something? Let’s leave it at that.”
“Lowkey seems to have the most integrity out of anyone in Hollywood every time she speaks,” another user echoed on the site.
The dog actor’s star power has been celebrated in recent years for her snappy one-liners in response to interview questions.
In 2022, when asked by Variety if there were any Oscar-nominated films she had yet to see, she replied, “No, I’ve seen everything because I’m a member of the Academy.”
Kirsten noted, “It’s just not my thing. But I saw the Paw Patrol.”
