While the iPhone 16E and the rest of the iPhone 16 family are all the rage now — and even the iPhone 17 is set to arrive soon — there’s no denying that the iPhone 15 line is still more than enough for many users.
Not only do the iPhone 15 and its derivatives have a ton of power and features, but you can also get them for quite a bit cheaper now that they’re not Apple’s latest phone. While finding deals is slowly becoming harder and harder to do, we’ve still found some great ones for you below.
Hey, did you know? CNET’s deal texts are free, easy, and save you money.
Best iPhone 15 deals
While there’s no direct discount on any of the iPhone 15 series devices, Apple does have a trade-in program that can save you hundreds on a new iPhone 15. Apple claims you can save up to $600, but that’s only if you trade in another iPhone 15, which is an unlikely scenario. The most you can save on the iPhone 14 series and older is $450. The iPhone Upgrade Program or Apple Card* financing (and cash back) are also ways to save.
Only Verizon has the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models available, but there are some serious savings on the base iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus. You can get one for free when you add a new line to Unlimited Plus or the Ultimate plan, with no trade-in. That saves you up to $830, and the discounts are applied in the form of monthly bill credits over 36 months.
AT&T is offering discounts in the form of monthly bill credits when you buy a new iPhone 15 on an installment plan. Those who have or who upgrade to a qualifying unlimited plan can get the base iPhone 15 for just $8 per month or the 15 Pro Max for $21 per month.
Anyone who adds a new line will also get an extra $200 in monthly bill credits, but you don’t need to take advantage of these iPhone discounts. You can save up to $800 per line by breaking your current contract and switching to AT&T from another carrier.
Both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are sold out at T-Mobile, but there are plenty of ways to snag the base model for free. Those on a GO5G Plus or next-gen plan can get either the base iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus for free with a qualifying trade-in. Those on most other plans can still save up to $300 with a qualifying trade-in.
You can also get either model for free with a qualifying trade-in and a new line of service on a qualifying unlimited plan. Military members, first responders, and those 55 and older can take advantage of special offers up to $800.
Best Buy is offering a $50 direct discount and still has some unlocked iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models in stock. You can get some more savings with a qualifying trade-in. The starting price can be further reduced if you opt for same-day activation through your carrier. Verizon customers will save $100, and AT&T customers will save $50.
There are also some freebies with all iPhone 15 purchases, including three free months of Apple Fitness Plus, Apple Arcade, and Apple Music, as well as two free months of Apple TV Plus (new or returning subscribers only).
Boost Infinite: from $200
Boost only has the basic iPhone 15 in stock, and you can pick it up for $530 when you sign up for its $60-a-month unlimited premium plan. That brings the starting price down to just $200.
You also have the option to buy the phone outright at full price, which gets you free service on an unlimited plan, usually $25 per month.
Spectrum is offering trade-in savings on all four iPhone 15 models, but only the 15 Pro Max is eligible for special discounts right now. That’s automatically $200 off, and you’ll save an additional $200 in trade-in credits for a total savings of $400, which brings the price down to just $700.
What’s the best iPhone 15 deal right now?
Several carriers are offering serious savings on the iPhone 15 series, but AT&T’s deals stand out. That’s because it’s the only carrier offering discounts that don’t require a trade-in or a new line. You can save hundreds by buying the phone on an installment plan, and the discount will be applied as bill credits over 36 months.
If you don’t want to add a new line or service, Apple’s trade-in program is the best place to get some savings on an unlocked model.
