In a Long X report on Monday, Greene said the killing of Charlie Kirk and the bitterly polarized aftermath have convinced the nation that it has “gone too far and is too divided” when it comes to politics.
“There’s nothing left to talk about with the left. They hate us,” she wrote.
“They murdered our nice guy who was actually peacefully discussing ideas with them,” the Republican said of Kirk. “Then millions on the left celebrated and made it clear they wanted us all dead.”
“Honestly, I want a peaceful national divorce,” Green wrote, adding that America is no longer safe for any of us.
The Georgia politician first referred to the idea of “national divorce” in the 2023 X Report.
By proposing that “red states and blue states” secede to “shrink the federal government,” many worried that Greene was proposing something akin to the Civil War.
