Microsoft Copilot has updated its audio expressions feature with a new script mode powered by their in-house AI models. The feature is able to read written text in a variety of styles based on emotion, personality, and style.
Copilot Audio Expressions is under Copilot Labs and allows users to customize it to match the voice prompt: “Whether it’s a gentle tone for a bedtime story, a positive message for a motivational pep talk, or a theatrical flair for an epic adventure.”
Users can also choose from a variety of different options in styles, including vampire, dragon, or witch.
There is also a story mode that includes multiple vocal styles for an engaging storytelling experience for children or students.
Last month, Microsoft AI also announced its own in-house AI models, one of which, the MA-Voice-1 AI, is a voice model that can produce a minute’s worth of audio in a matter of seconds. The AI model was available for preview on Copilot.
