Ed Miliband attacked Elon Musk last night over the tech mogul’s latest intervention in British politics.

The richest man in the world caused alarm when he claimed that “violence is coming” to Britain when a video link emerged at Tommy Robinson’s far-right rally at the weekend.

Musk, who was previously one of Donald Trump’s closest advisers, urged more than 100,000 people to “unite the kingdom” to “fight or die.”

He also revived his long-standing feud with Keir Starmer, saying: “I really think there needs to be a change of government in Britain. You can’t – we don’t have another four years or whenever the next election is, that’s too long.”

“Something has to be done. There has to be a parliament and a new vote.”

“Violence will come to you,” he continued. “You will not have a choice. You are in a fundamental element here where, whether you choose violence or not, violence comes to you. You either fight or you die. That is the truth.”

The Metropolitan Police said 26 of their officers were injured, including four seriously, after they were allegedly attacked by some of those taking part in Saturday’s rally.

Energy Secretary Miliband was quick to point out Musk’s latest remarks when speaking to LBC last night.

He said, ”Who the hell is this guy?” is my reaction.

“From what I can see, the guy is a publicity-seeking narcissist who is inciting violence on our streets.

“And honestly, he should go back to running his car company and, as the Americans would say, ‘get the hell out of our politics.'”

Starmer also criticized Musk for his intervention, saying: “People have the right to peaceful protest. It’s at the core of our country’s values.”

“Britain is a nation proudly built on tolerance, diversity and respect. Our flag represents our diverse country and we will never surrender it to those who use it as a symbol of violence, fear and division.”

Business Secretary Peter Keel added on Sunday that Musk’s remarks were “somewhat incomprehensible” and “completely inappropriate.”
